“I want to be able to level with people who are not on the same page instead of trying to be right. I feel like we have this lack of wanting to understand another person because it’s easier to stay with our own set of morals and ideas. I think it’s true for both sides. When you’re advocating for certain rights you believe in, that can also shut people out who simply don’t know enough about the topic or they feel embarrassed to ask about it. I think we need more open conversations and less people assuming one thing is right and one thing is wrong.”
