“I think a lot of people are trying to control things when they say something is good or bad, or black or white. It has to be something or it has to be nothing. Being gay is not a judgmental thing. You can’t put it in a box. I think it’s hard for the ego to deal with it and that’s why people have strong opinions and judge it as right or wrong, instead of just letting go and letting it be something or nothing or whatever it’s supposed to be. If we stop trying to control and we begin to accept each other, I think more and more people can be themselves. I mean, what’s the point of life if you’re not able to be yourself?”

“When you believe you are different, you think you are alone.”

“I feel that I still have to ‘come out’ to them consistently because they see homosexuality as a struggle that can be overcome.”

“Yes, I am a gay man, but that’s all. It’s not a big issue.”
